Henry isn’t born until the later books, so wouldn’t be him. Unless they move that up into this last series. They could.

Seeing some of the pictures of the new characters and the scenes filmed by the caves with the bodies on the beach etc. and the presence of Sam and the Dr attending, makes me think the storyline involves the antislavery, boycott sugar campaign and abolitionist movement in Cornwall with the Methodists (Sam). Just speculating as it's not from the books. Any thoughts?

Like you said, not from the books, but very possible/plausible for the era, for sure. And would certainly give Sam something more to do, and another cause to fight for. It would also work for Ross’ anti slavery views. It would also cause some animosity between Ross/Sam again which is always interesting.
I like where your head’s at anon, and would very much like to see this come up in S5. We shall see!
And I think the gray haired man may be playing John Wesley? Fits into that time period.
